This exciting 2 year old Zousain Filly by Osaycan was purchased at the 2024 Magic Millions sale as a passed in lot for $13650. Clean scope and xrays she was a great price based on the pedigree and performance of the Zousain 2 year old crop in 2024.

Zousain by Zoustar was a 13-2:5:0 Group 2 winner over 1000 and 1200, placing at Group 1, 2 and 3 amassing $746,140 in winnings. Zousain now stands at Widden for $27,500. Osaycan by Starspangledbanner was a 10-1:2:2 racer winning over 1200, this is her first foal. Her half brother Glistening by Zoustar won a Group 2 1200 and Listed 1100. The second Dam Beethog was from a well credentialed family with a number of Group winners, herself a Group 3 and Listed 1200 winner. Osaycan sold in 2024 at the MM Broodmare sales pregnant to Zousain for $32,000.

Cook My Goose went from the MM sales to Fenwick Farm to be broken in and undergo pre training. She spent close to 6 months training and spelling at Fenwick Farm and has been at the Sally Taylor stables at Coffs Harbour since late July 2024. Fenwick were all praise for the way the filly developed “very adaptable, quick learner”. She spent time working with Sally before heading to the paddock in December to strengthen and grow, to be ready to be brought back for the winter 2 year old races. Sally is very impressed with the filly’s movement and has noted she is one of the quickest learners she has had. Cook My Goose is paid up for Bobs and the Magic Millions Series bonus schemes. Cook My Goose is to be raced under trainer Sally Taylor. Based at Coffs Harbour, Sally’s training methods include sand / grass track work, beach work and off track skills training. Her methods are focused on ensuring optimum horse welfare and performance. Horses stay interested and get the best options for joint health which is delivering on the track. Sally rides track work and has a great team all committed to excellence. The stable is flying at the start of the 24/25 season continuing on last season’s high Win / Pl rates. The stable location affords easy access to a number of country racing options as well as Newcastle / Sydney if the capability is there and it’s a hop skip and a jump into Qld for magic millions and metro racing.
